Welcome
Hello, my name is Ryan Graves, and it's great to meet you! I hope Everyday Occurrences may encourage others to join me in investigating and learning more about Unidentified Aerospace Phenomena, or UAP. There will be a wide range of subjects covered, such as:
Detailed recollections of historical events
Testimonials from other tactical pilots and aircrew who have witnessed these phenomena
Analysis and community discussion on the changing topic of UAP
Recollections
Since speaking publicly about daily incursions by UAP into controlled US military airspace, no single report of the events has, in my opinion, achieved an utterly accurate depiction. In retrospect, it seems reasonable to expect nuance to be lost. The unique environment in which the events occurred makes effective communication difficult. How does one condense years of flying experience into a brief statement I can easily share? This newsletter will be where I can go into more detail about the nuances of being a F/A-18 pilot to help the average reader understand how strange our skies can be.
Interviews
We'll also hear from other pilots who will share their stories with us, most for the first time. How serious is this safety hazard? What are commercial airline pilots experiencing versus military? I will conduct personal interviews with aircrew to discuss their reports objectively and 'debrief' the discussion for non-aviators.
Community Discussion
Looking to discuss this subject with other people who share your interest? Participate in community discussions about the changing landscape of UAPs, their implications for various aspects of our society, and more.Â
Community Artists
Several familiar names from the UAP art community have been enlisted to provide literal and artistic interpretations of events. Many articles will be accompanied by one-of-a-kind art created by community artists, such as:
Ben Scarborough (lune79)
Dan Zetterstrom (The Zignal)
Raphael Kanfer (The Infinite Astronaut)
Tom Florek
And more…
Open Data
My goal is to encourage positive and productive interest in this topic among the UAP community and the wider public. I believe that data relevant to understanding UAP should be available to everyone. As such, I will never put such data behind a subscription wall. If you would like to support us, you will be helping us broaden the discussion, generate great art, and encourage more pilots to come forward.
Sincerely,
Ryan Graves
Ryan Graves is a former Lt. U.S. Navy and F/A-18F pilot who was the first active duty pilot to come forward publicly about regular sightings of Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP). He currently serves as the first Chair of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Unidentified Aerospace Phenomena Community of Interest (UAPCOI), representing more than 30,000 members of the aerospace industry concerned with improving aviation safety. Graves has been featured in 60 Minutes, The History Channel, and The New York Times.
Ditto – & thanks so much for being such a model of courage on this issue. Every time I see your name, on Twitter or elsewhere, and I see you remain involved, I’m relieved.
Outstanding Ryan, I look forward to this.
