As I sit down to write this message, I’m astounded to realize that the public UAP Hearing, in which I participated, occurred just 11 months ago. Life has been a whirlwind since. My family has grown, shrunk, and grown again. Amidst all the chatter, I chose relentless curiosity to uncover the truth about UAP. I’ve tirelessly worked this issue, continuing my work at the AIAA UAP Integration & Outreach Committee (UAPIOC) and growing Americans for Safe Aerospace (ASA) into the growing organization it is today.
However, I haven’t succeeded in maintaining consistent communication with the people who are truly passionate about this topic - you. No more! Consider this message the start of a bi-weekly posting schedule. There is so much to discuss, and we’ll do it together - here.
What’s to come
Pilot reports
Pilots continue to report UAP sightings. At Americans for Safe Aerospace, we consistently receive reports from pilots which are now standardized into a new database structure. This allows us to better understand what pilots are reporting and how it’s being reported. For example, our data shows pilots don’t report UAP sightings through normal channels, such as Air Traffic Control (ATC) or post-flight safety reports. Despite various reporting mechanisms like the NASA Aviation Safety Reporting System (ASRS) and the FAA’s Aviation Safety Action Plan (ASAP), 61% of ASA witnesses only report through ASA.
More than simply reporting UAP, these pilots share profound stories of encounters that have shocked them to their core. These experiences fundamentally change their view of their place in this tiny corner of the universe. Some pilots, witnessing phenomena so far removed from expectations, have even self-administered drug tests to find rational explanations for their sightings. Many want their experiences shared with the public but fear professional repercussions. We’ll discuss these experiences, the data we’re gathering, and how we can better understand what pilots are seeing. I’ll bring new pilots into the conversation and share their experiences directly with you.
Deep tech & UAP
For the past sixty years, DARPA has engaged with the most challenging technical problems, making pivotal investments in breakthrough technologies for national security. What can we learn from this dual military-commercial deep technology space? I’m excited to explore with you the cutting-edge tech developments from DARPA and other institutions by monitoring their public contracting requests. What can we learn about capability trends relevant to understanding UAP? How will advancing AI capabilities change our understanding of UAP? Will it resolve the true nature of UAP or simply enhance the convictions on each side of the argument?
Beyond the horizon
This conversation can lead to absolutely fascinating thought exercises… if you’re willing to explore with an open mind and a thread back to reality. I’d like to reserve space on this platform to enjoy that part of the conversation shamelessly. Do current advances in artificial intelligence require us to rethink the prevalence of intelligence across the universe? Are we relentlessly accelerating towards some unknown great filter in our fast-approaching future? Let’s explore some of the corners where this conversation takes us.
Learn with me
I’ve had incredible experiences meeting people across the country and the world as I’ve engaged in this topic. It’s time to share my experiences and what I’ve learned along the way. And boy, do we have a lot to talk about! From hearings in Mexico next to ‘bodies’ to briefing NATO in Italy, this conversation has grown in ways I never imagined. I’m here to share my side of the story from these events and take you along to upcoming events.
Ad finem
I am incredibly grateful for the experiences of the past several years, both good and bad. It has been both a challenge and an honor to be part of a conversation that has profoundly touched so many people around the world. I am looking forward to continuing this conversation with you… there is a lot to share, more than a future book (!) may cover.
I hope you accept my invitation to join this conversation. Many of you have supported me along this mission, and each of you is greatly appreciated. Let’s grow this space as a destination for like-minded, curious individuals. Subscribe today and join the conversation!
